Jasmine Chen, PT, DPT, received her bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine in 2015 and graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University in 2018. She has experience treating various patient populations in various settings including the skilled nursing facility, acute rehab unit, concierge home therapy, and orthopedic and sports rehab. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and enjoys working with patients of all ages and backgrounds. In her free time, she enjoys staying active with rock climbing, tennis, snowboarding, and yoga and hopes to encourage an active lifestyle by educating the community and optimizing movement.

Fun Facts

Why did you want to become a physical therapist?

My first exposure to physical therapy was while interning in the athletic training room at UC Irvine. I have always been very active and involved in multiple sports and wanted to find a career in health care, so I found physical therapy to be the perfect fit to combine my two interests and promote a healthy lifestyle in the community.

What is your favorite part of your job?

I love getting to know my clients over time, listening to their individualized needs, and figuring out solutions. It is rewarding for me to see progress over time and to be able to help people return to what they love doing.

Where is your favorite place you've traveled?

I have been to various parts of East Asia and Europe and am always looking for good flights and points deals to travel somewhere new. I have family in Taiwan and always look forward to visiting and practicing my Chinese.

Do you have any hobbies?

In my free time, I keep myself busy with trying new recipes, restaurants, and wineries. I enjoy working out in my home gym, climbing, and playing pickleball or tennis to stay active.
